Ui-sinseol light rail (우이신설선)

Séoul

The Ui-Sinseol Light Rail Line (우이신설선) or the Ui Line for short, is an automated light metro line. The line opened on 02 September 2017. It is 11,4 km-long (two-way) with 13 stations. The Ui line is fully underground including the depot. It connects Ui-dong to Sinseol-dong in northern Seoul.

The rolling stock is a dedicated fleet of 18 Hyundai Rotem UL000 units. The cars are similar to the previously built equipment for the Busan–Gimhae Light Rail Line. Each unit consists of 2-sections with a Jacobs bogie in the center. The Ui line is operated with single units only. Power collection is via the third rail.
