The only reason why the trolleybuses in Ancona have not been running for several months is this broken trolleybus. It is a section of about 50 m between two switches, which can be easily repaired in a few hours. This picture shows the utter desperation of the city administration and the transport company.

Quite a nice switch on the handling line from the "Risorgimento" tunnel towards the city. Unfortunately it is unused and the trolley to the branch is for some reason connected outside the switch.

On the day of the visit all trolleybuses AnsaldoBreda F22 and Solaris Trollino III 18AC were parked at the Depot, crammed inside the building in the back of the facility, away from the overhead.
There was no trolleybus service in the city.
