This is a rather exceptional photo for two reasons. Snow is truly a rarity on the coast (and melts almost immediately), and the use of a Ghent tram during the winter is also quite rare. This occurs almost exclusively during the weekends of the school holidays (double condition) and this just for 1 or 2 journeys in the afternoon between Oostende and Westende.

The coastal tram is not always attractive. And sometimes pictures have to be posted in a more than banal environment. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the Belgian Coast is now full of such buildings.

A new loop was built around the station. This allows the route through the station to be avoided (for service reasons) but also serves for limited journeys, which take place mainly during the summer months.
