A very enthusiastic participant cleaned up the tram before departure. The mirrors of the trams from Ghent do not fit into the car wash, which means that the tram is rarely cleaned.

Ruggeveldlaan

This route is not used in normal service and here too a photo stop could be organised without any problems. The indication on the tram is correct: for a short time the route was used for the exit of line 12 from the depot.

Halenstraat

Line 12 was of course also visited. A picture that in normal circumstances is almost impossible to realize due to the busy and chaotic traffic, could be taken here.

On the Koningin Astridplein the tram was parked on the service track, so that a parallel with a regular line 12 could be organized.

Sint-Laureiskaai

This type of tram never arrives in the vicinity of the MAS. Because there are some nice photo opportunities there, it was decided to go there for a ride.

Eindhalte (endstation) Eilandje — MAS

We had to drive around, because it was too busy at the stop. Once the regular tram had left, we could take its place and make a parallel with the regular line 70. The 7007 has been in reserve for a few years, but has been put back into service and there is a chance that the tram will soon be sold and will lead a second life on the coastline.

Lange Gasthuisstraat

The participants were very enthusiastic that a crossing with the 9994 (museum tram) was going to take place. We were informed by telephone at the last moment that this tram was on its way. It's not historically correct: neither an interurban tram nor a Ghent tram have ever driven there. But it is the first crossing in Antwerp of both types of trams...

Leopoldplaats

An evergreener on every excursion is a stop on the service tracks of the Leopoldplaats. This is easy to achieve, the sun is well positioned and it is a nice spot.

Stelplaats Hoboken (Jan Van de Wouwerstraat)

The special part of this excursion was that it was possible to use tram 42.
Perhaps this is the very last time: the cultural project, for which the tram was used, has come to an end. Nobody is interested in this tram anymore and it is in a very bad condition, both techical and the bodywork.

Stelplaats Hoboken (Jan Van de Wouwerstraat)

The classic line-up took place at the Hoboken site. This required a lot of preparation, because it was not evident to keep these 2 tracks free and also to make sure that the 7001 was there.
