Wilhelm-Pieck-Straße

The segment via Wilhelm-Pieck-Straße (nowadays Theaterstraße) was the only 3-rail segment of track in Karl-Marx-Stadt from the era of regauging of the system from 925 mm. to 1435 mm. track.
Even though it was planned to operate the standard gauge trams via the segment as a part of the regauging, this plan was never realized.
The standard gauge track was never connected to the rest of the network, and only narrow gauge trams ever operated here.
This segment was a part of the last 925 mm. line in the city (the Line 3) operated until 06.11.1988 with trams from the 1920s.

Участок по Вильгельм Пик штрассе (ныне Театральная) был единственным в Карл-Маркс-Штадте участком 3-рельсового пути периода перешивки сети с 925 мм. на 1435 мм.
Несмотря на запланированный запуск здесь трамвая стандартной колеи как части перешивки сети, этот план так не был реализован.
Стандартная колея так и не была подсоединена к остальной сети, и здесь ходили только узкоколейные трамваи.
Данный участок был частью последнего маршрута (номер 3) колеи 925 мм. в городе, работавшего до 06.11.1988 с использованием вагонов 1920-х гг.
