Зарядные станции пустуют уже третью неделю. Лишь изредка ими пользуются BYD K9MD с б/н 10000-10002. Пару раз в неделю эти электробусы разбавляют скучную компанию газобусов, как это было в период с 2021 по 2025 год.
Вот такого вот прогресса добилась компания Metro, обещавшая ещё в 2017-м электрифицировать весь парк к 2030-му году. Потом дата плавно сместилась на 2035-й, а затем и на 2040-й год...

Charging stations have remained vacant for the third consecutive week, with only BYD K9MD units 10000-10002 making occasional appearances. These e-buses briefly break up the monotony of the CNG fleet just a few times a week, mirroring the situation seen between 2021 and 2025.
​This is the reality of the 'progress' made by Metro. After pledging in 2017 to go fully electric by 2030, the agency pushed the goalpost to 2035, and most recently, to 2040.

Все новые электробусы BYD K9MD-ER простаивают уже более трёх недель. Причина доподлинно неизвестна, однако многие винят в этом холодную ночь с 6 на 7 января. Температура тогда опустилась до 6 градусов тепла, что для Лос-Анджелеса довольно мало. С тех пор на линии J работают исключительно Nabi 45C CNG, которые Metro как раз и обещали заменить на электробусы к концу 2025 года.

While the exact reason remains unconfirmed, many are pointing fingers at the freezing night between January 6th and 7th. Temperatures dipped to 43°F—quite a chill for Los Angeles. Since then, the J Line has been running exclusively on NABI 45C CNG buses, the very ones Metro promised to replace with electrics by the end of 2025.
