The track renovation is in good progress; the section between the Orefici / Cantù junction and Piazza Cordusio is already completed, alongside the tracks in Piazza Cordusio itself that have been renovated in June.

Here is the terminal section — for the moment — of this upcoming extension, running along via Ettore Majorana. Furthermore, the extension towards west of this new line is planned, which is expected to reach the Certosa railway station. A couple of switches should also be visibile here according to the project, but personally I didn't manage to see anything even vaguely related to such things.

Via Anassagora

This is the junction between the existing line running from Piazzale Mattei and the extension towards Via Adriano; the tracks here are first laid onto the concrete's reinforcement, which will later get covered with such concrete and then covered in grass; this procedure has been used for the entire extension, as the line crosses a quite populated residential area.
