This will be slightly shorter for me, but it won't make much difference.
I think I also found it in a magazine or book somewhere. The town itself is anything but famous or interesting: there are 13 in a dozen of them.
Also, the fact that a tram once ran there and was later closed : there are plenty of cities like that.

It remains surprising that the existence of such an experiment in a remote and unknown town is known far outside of Brighton.

It has worked, without any accidents. Something similar was never built again, sadly...

You should indeed return to your place of departure (London) as there is little else to see in the south (for tram enthusiasts).
Distance is irrelevant: there are many places (especially from London) that can be visited or at least reached in one day.
There are many personal considerations (cost vs. result, such as number of photos), time, etc.
If I ever drive down the English south coast by car, I will certainly take this idea into consideration as long as the line is operable at that time.

Thanks for sharing these photos. This system is very rarely seen here. Historically, it's certainly interesting. Whether it's attractive and worth the effort of getting there, is up to each to decide (as for everywhere...).
